Lowri Cooper is a Welsh visual artist and photographer based in London. She completed an MA in Fashion Image at Central Saint Martins in 2021 and works across fashion, still life, and fine art.
Growing up in South Wales, surrounded by both natural and industrial landscapes, Cooper developed an awareness of visual contrast. She uses experimental processes to reimagine objects and textures, with cameraless techniques, scanning, and digital manipulation allowing her images to exist between the physical and the virtual.
In her work, Cooper is drawn to atmosphere, texture, and narrative. She explores form, movement, and energy, reframing familiar objects while examining the shifting relationship between the natural and the artificial.
Work published by the likes of Wallpaper*, Selfridges, The Design Museum, Yohji Yamamoto, i-D, Dazed, Numéro Berlin, Dover Street Market, SHOWStudio and Wonderland Magazine.
