Lowri Cooper is a Welsh visual artist and photographer based in London. She completed an MA in Fashion Image at Central Saint Martins in 2021 and works across fashion, still life, performance and fine art.
Her work explores the relationship between the physical and the virtual, with a particular interest in form, texture, and materiality. Growing up in South Wales, surrounded by both natural and industrial landscapes, she developed an awareness of visual contrast that continues to inform her practice.
Cooper uses experimental photographic processes to reimagine objects and surfaces. Cameraless techniques, scanning, and digital manipulation allow her images to exist between the tangible and the imagined.
Her work has been featured by Wallpaper*, i-D, Dazed, Numéro Berlin, and Wonderland, among others. She has collaborated with Adidas, Selfridges, The Design Museum, Royal Ballet and Opera, Yohji Yamamoto, Dover Street Market, and SHOWstudio.
